Located in Pacific Palisades, CA, Face Center LA takes pride in providing the most comprehensive evaluation and treatment in cosmetic and aesthetic procedures of the face as well as the correction of congenital deformities on both adults and children. Our board-certified doctors’ have extensive training in maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery, craniofacial surgery, orthodontics, and non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Our facility is equipped with innovative diagnostic technology, including state-of-the-art 3D imaging. Video conferencing and our digital electronic records allow collaboration with doctors and specialists worldwide. Whether you seek to minimize fine lines and wrinkles, reduce age spots, correct a cleft palate or treat sleep apnea, FCLA’s skilled doctors are happy to work with you to find the best treatment for your particular facial needs.

We specialize in aesthetic plastic surgery, cosmetic plastic surgery, maxillofacial surgery, craniofacial surgery, reconstructive surgery, facial rejuvenation procedures, and cutting-edge stem cell rejuvenation technology. Our goal is to provide you with an aesthetically balanced and naturally appearing face that accents your natural beauty. Stem Cell Face Sculpting at FaceCenterLA offers a natural alternative to surgical techniques such as face lifts and brow lifts to restore a more youthful appearance or can be used to enhance the results of jaw surgery (bsso, lefort osteotomy), genioplasty (chin surgery), rhinoplasty (nose surgery), blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), cheek implant surgery (malar implants), and face lifts. Autologous stem cell therapies may also be used as afiller or in conjunction with fat transfer to fill wrinkles, frown lines, crow’s feet, marionette lines, or plump lips (lip augmentation) in place of Juvederm or Restylane.

In collaboration with other leaders in the field of stem cell technology for rejuvenation, including dermatologists, plastic surgeons, PhD microbiologists, and regenerative medicine specialists, Dr. Stephen Schendel, MD, DDS, has developed protocol for facial rejuvenation using patients’ own stem cells. This affordable therapy has minimal down time and is performed on site under local anesthesia or light sedation. The harvesting technology with lipovage developed by Dr. Schendel and his team of specialists is safe and effective, and approved by the FDA and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Non-embryonic autologus adult adipose stem cells are taken from your own body fat, where they are highly concentrated in the body. These autologous stem cell therapies may also be used as a treatment for acne scars, as a filler to plump lips (lip augmentation) or in place of Juvederm or Restylane in conjunction with fat transfer to fill wrinkles, frown lines, crow’s feet, or marionette lines and as a substitute to botox. In the Spring 2011 New You magazine article, “The Stem Cell Revolution,” J.P. Faber writes, “Fat is fast becoming an in-vogue filler for the new concept of volumizing, wherein a youthful appearance is restored by replacing – what else – the fat you lost as you aged.” The unique procedure performed by the doctors at Face Center LA generates better, longer-lasting, and more natural results than fat injections alone or other rejuvenation fillers and provides the additional benefit of rejuvenating the skin covering the facial structures.

Since the stem cells and fat are taken from your own cells, there is no chance of your body rejecting the cells or of an allergic reaction. Stem cell facial rejuvenation can also be used to enhance the results of jaw surgery (bsso, lefort osteotomy), genioplasty (chin surgery), rhinoplasty (nose surgery), blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), cheek implant surgery (malar implants), and face lifts. This new technology is at the forefront of modern medical advances and has evolved the field of facial rejuvenation in remarkable ways.

Patients interested aesthetic plastic surgery and cosmetic plastic surgery, maxillofacial surgery, craniofacial surgery, reconstructive surgery, will find that our specialists have contributed tremendously in academic research and the development of innovative, patented techniques and devices to treat the most complex facial concerns. Face Center LA specializes in the treatment of airway and breathing disorders such as snoring, cessation of breathing known as an apnea, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (severe sleep apnea, OSA), sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) , and upper airway resistance syndrome (UARS). Snoring is an indication of the possibility of a serious medical problem because sleep apnea is linked to heart disease, stroke, depression and diabetes. By using state-of-the-art airway imaging and diagnostic software to help us visualize the anatomy of the airway, our doctors can identify a small or deficient airway, a funnel shaped airway, narrow, small or choke points in the airway, excess tissue, a deviated septum, enlarged turbinates, and a variety of other anatomical abnormalities that contribute to sleep-disordered breathing. If it is suspected that you have sleep apnea after an initial examination, our doctors will refer you to have a sleep study (polysomnogram). The results of this will allow us to determine how severe your symptoms are and what treatment option is best for you. The indicated treatment will depend on the severity of the condition as well as patient tolerance and preference to certain modalities.

While sleep apnea patients often have to endure the treatment of the cumbersome CPAP machine, FCLA offers other, more manageable treatments for this serious health problem. For instance, Mandibular Posturing Devices worn at night correct mild to moderate obstruction disorders and sleep apnea by positioning the lower jaw (mandible) forward, thus increasing the volume of the airway. Also, almost all patients suffering from sleep-disordered breathing can be effectively treated with surgery, which can be highly rewarding when you consider the difficulties and discomfort associated with many non-surgical treatments. FCLA surgeons bring world-renowned expertise, training, and specialty knowledge to surgically treat, which a high success rate, upper airway narrowing and blockage during sleep.

Sleep apnea affects 2% to 4% of middle-aged working adults in the general population, however, a considerable number of affected individuals remain undiagnosed. If you or someone you know suffers from chronic snoring, please consider a complimentary consultation at FCLA to find a solution to this problem and restore peace in your life.
